Mobile & Handheld Coder
We are seeking a game coder with good all round skills to work on a new 3D Nintendo DS title. Going forwards you will play a core role in the coding of both our mobile and handheld games. The successful applicant will have a strong technical background and a passion for gameplay. You will be working on multiple projects each year from prototype through to completion and maintenance, and so you will rapidly gain a broad range of hands-on experience by working in a close-knit team. You will be self-motivated, energetic, and have the ability to learn rapidly on the job.
Responsibilities:
- Programming all aspects of our games
- Maintenance and debugging of all project code
- Ongoing development of our core libraries, development tools and engines
- Involvement with all aspects of the QA process
- Communicate and work well with all other members of our development teams
- Travel to client and training sites as necessary
Requirements:
- 2+ years games industry coding experience
- A good technical or games degree (e.g. Computer Science, Maths, Physics)
- Programming experience in C/C++
- Experience of programming 3D games
- Strong maths ability
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
Desirable:
- Nintendo DS experience
- Java experience
- J2ME experience
- Experience of ANT or similar build tools
