AirPlay is a devoted core team of individuals with a range of experience - from mobile phone specialization to cutting-edge console creation.
We also work with a network of handpicked specialists for exclusive project needs. AirPlay works organically, expanding and contracting to suit project requirements and to keep costs low.
In our first five years, we have built a reputation for compelling game play and high quality production values. ‘Communication is King’ and we have worked with some of the finest mobile and console publishers to deliver on some of the top brands in the world.
AirPlay’s company founders Ian Masters and James Wright are at the helm of our team. They form an intrinsic part of each project from conception through to completion. This hands-on game direction has been the key the success of our games and our company.
Ian Masters - CEO
With a background in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Ian has been working in the games industry since 1998. His console credits are numerous and include classic titles such as the 10/10 rated “TOCA: World Touring Cars”. Since then he has worked across the board on a variety of consoles PlayStation, GameCube and Xbox platforms on titles such as EA's FIFA.
In Ian, creativity meets a deep understanding of the medium and its commercials. As creator of “Super Yum Yum” and Creative Director of AirPlay Ian has been able to work closely with both programming teams and art teams alike.
With 5 years experience as a company director and a strong foothold in development, Ian is now pushing AirPlay as forward as CEO. AirPlay is now advancing onto new development platforms, with a renewed focus on original IP, self-publishing and specialist consultancy.
James Wright - COO
An experienced producer in the mobile and console arena, James is the main point of contact for our clients and responsible for the day to day running of all projects, from beginning to end.
James began his career at renowned global design agency Razorfish. He then joined Intelligent Games where his numerous game titles included "2002 FIFA World Cup" (PC, PS2 & GC).
Following this James moved on to specialise in mobile phone games, producing and designing titles for Nokia. He is our in-house expert in the mobile field.
James’ experience and conviction ensures that AirPlay deliver high quality games within strict deadlines and on tight budgets. Our reputation has secured AirPlay long-standing relationships with major clients such as iFone, Glu and Sega and new opportunities with companies such as Sony Computer Entertainment.
